This weekend at Comedy Heights at Lestat’s on Ave. Friday night Alfred Konuwa. Saturday night Adam’s Ave Unplugged

Alfred Konuwa is a stand-up comedian and writer who is frequently published and broadcasted on Forbes as well as Bleacher Report. In 2019, he showcased for StandUp NBC and has made a multiple appearances on NPR as a featured guest of Weekend Edition and Here and Now. With an infectious, high-energy style that is both crowd-pleasing and edgy, Konuwa tackles a myriad of issues with a uniquely absurd perspective to deliver a refreshing viewpoint that simultaneously challenges and entertains audiences. Konuwa has performed in comedy clubs and venues in Alaska, Austin, Texas and throughout Southern California in venues such as The Comedy Store, The icehouse, The Haha Comedy Club and The Comedy Palace.

Joining Alfred are Ryan Shores, Kat Bird, Al Gavi and Rachel Lloyd. Doors open at 7:30pm with the show starting at 8:00pm. $5 Cover converts to same day cafe credit.

Saturday is Adams Ave Unplugged. This event features over 60+ live musical performances inside restaurants, bars, and coffee houses along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue from University Heights on the West, through Normal Heights, and into parts of Kensington to the East. Comedy Heights has three “NO COVER” shows starting at 7:00pm with Austin Train, Victoria Parra, Steven Ghabbour, Dusty Tunnell and Matt Coe. At 8:00pm with have Alfred Konuwa with Ryan Shores, Kat Bird, Al Gavi and Rachel Lloyd. And at 9:30 we have Natasha Collier, Kyle Rehl and Benji GarciaReyes.
