This Saturday night at Comedy Heights at Twiggs our second Pride show with Co-Headliners Sarah Cannon and Chet Sewell.

Sarah Cannon, knew growing up as the only girl in a Catholic family of three boys, and an overweight teenager, that there was always something to make people laugh.  After graduating from Ball State University in 1993 Sarah enlisted in the United States Navy and served five years as a Navy Journalist.  She made her stage debut in 2009 at the World Famous Comedy Store and quickly earned the reputation as one of the best female comics in San Diego.  She’s known as San Diego’s Funniest Lesbian.  She has become a fixture in the Southern California Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgendered (LGBT) entertainment scene performing in a wide variety of LGBT events such as Los Angeles, San Diego and South Bay, Palm Springs Pride; Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show; Olivia Cruises and various other LGBT themed comedy shows throughout the Southern California area.  To date, she has performed with national headlining acts such as Tommy Savit, Dat Phan, Craig Shoemaker, Gallagher, Judy Tenuta, Mark Christopher Lawrence, and Tig Notaro.  

Chet Sewell grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and began his entertainment career with his sister in the basement of his childhood home performing Carol Burnett skits for captive family members. He majored in English and Theatre at Coe College and received his M.A. in English from Iowa State University.  He taught elementary school and performed in the local Des Moines theatre scene, before moving to San Diego 19 years ago where he continues to teach and perform. He has graced comedy stages all over Southern California including Flappers in Burbank, Madhouse, Comedy Palace, Comedy Store La Jolla and in his very own classroom (comedy is a great teaching tool). e is a regular in The Main Room at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles as well as BrewHaHa Entertainment and Comedy Heights in San Diego.
