Comedy Heights is changing the routine this week. We have one show only, Friday, September 18 at 8 PM. We’ll be dark Saturday while the Adams Avenue Street Fair takes over the neighborhood, so if you want your Comedy Heights fix this weekend, Friday is the night. And we’re packing plenty into it.
Laurence Francis is a familiar face at Comedy Heights and part of San Diego’s growing stand up scene. He performs regularly around town and on shows throughout Southern California.
Anna Mae Gordon brings a résumé that goes well beyond stand up. She’s an actor, director and comedian who has performed at The Comedy Store, The Stand and clubs in New York, Los Angeles, London, Dublin, Paris and Berlin. She also co-created and starred in the sketch series Hot Snacks, whose pilot collected seven awards on the festival circuit.
Then there’s Mazdak Momen, an Iranian-American comedian, writer and software engineer based right here in San Diego. He says he originally got into stand up to fight inflation. Inflation won, so he kept doing comedy. Mazdak has appeared at the World Series of Comedy, Vermont Comedy Festival and Comedy Chateau Festival.
Also joining the show are Ryan Archuleta, Ralph Waxman and Al Gavi. Opening the show will be the Comedy Heights LaughPac. Normally we get two chances every weekend. This time you get one.
