Clay Newman has been delighting audiences for years with his high energy and eclectic take on this weird world we live in. His comedy career began as just another way for the long time theater nerd to get his stage fix, but he soon found that stand-up was his greatest passion and only actual skill. With his love for animals and mediocre editing prowess, you can see Clay any time on his YouTube series: The Zoo Review.
Clay is a nationally touring comedian, and has been seen recently working as a feature at Laughs Unlimited in Sacramento, the Tacoma and Spokane Comedy Clubs, Rooster T Feathers in Sunnyvale, Ca, Standup Honolulu, and Seattle Comedy Underground (RIP). You’ll also find him hosting at Punch Line and Cobbs in San Francisco, San Jose Improv, and Punch Line Sacramento, as well as showcases at Flappers in Burbank and Mad House in San Diego. He’s recently opened for Jenny Slate, Eric Andre, TJ Miller, Darrell Hammond, Kelsey Cook, Shane Torres, Andrew Santino, Eddie Ifft, Ismo, Aida Rodriguez, Sam Tripoli, Andy Woodhull, and Sheng Wang.
As far as competitions and festivals go, Clay came in 1st place in San Diego, Las Vegas, and Sacramento (as well as 3rd in Phoenix) during the 2022 World Series of Comedy. He was a finalist in the 2019 San Francisco Comedy Competition, 2017 Rooster T Feathers Competition, and 2016 Ventura Harbor Competition, and he won the 2015 Comedy Oakland Tournament of Champions. SF Sketchfest featured Clay 5 consecutive years, and he has also been seen at the Big Pine, Ventura Harbor, and Santa Cruz Comedy Festivals.
Joining Clay this week are the hilarious Terron Hefley, Kylie Troop, Josh Lanzet and Al Gavi. Show time 8pm with the doors opening at 7:30pm. Seating is first come first serve. This show will be standing room only so it is highly suggested to get there early.
