We’ve got two fantastic shows this week at Comedy Heights. Friday night we’re back at the Fleet Reserve Club in Imperial Beach with Chris Clobber, Lisa Gilbert, Dusty Tunnell and Al Gavi. Show time 7pm with the doors opening at 6:30pm.
Saturday night at Twiggs we’ve got Julian Fernandez with Cat Alvarado, Dusty Tunnell, Raymond Lau and Al Gavi. Show time 8pm with the doors opening at 7:30pm.
You may have seen Chris Clobber on HBO, Comedy Central or A&E or practically anywhere else where comedy is a thing .. he’s the man of thousands of animal sounds and simply brilliant on stage. If you haven’t seen him perform before you’ll be in for a treat. When other comedians take a right turn to surprise you in their act, Chris takes a left. He’s hilarious and probably San Diego’s best kept secret in comedy.
Julian Fernandez is a non-binary, Latino comedian and impressionist from Los Angeles, CA. In 2019, Julian came out as non-binary. This means they don’t identify as a specific gender and prefers the pronouns They/Them. They started doing stand up at seventeen, mixing celebrity impressions and voices with observations and stories from their, not so, everyday life. Julian’s comedy has been featured on shows like, First Impressions with Dana Carvey, Laughs on Fox, and ESPN Sports Center. They’ve traveled all around the country performing at clubs, colleges, festivals, apartments, and other events like Kevin & Bean’s April Foolishness in 2017. Julian has even opened for comics like Taylor Williamson, Anjelah Johnson, Debra DiGiovanni, and more. With their chill and charming personality, audience can feel comfortable knowing they’re in for a great time.
