That’s right! We’re back! After a year long COVID hiatus Comedy Heights returns to Twiggs in University Heights.
Comedians Tony Calabrese, Justin Foster, Alexis Bradby, Chris Clobber, Veronica Brown and our own Al Gavi are ready to bring the laughs this Saturday night.
A native San Diegan, Tony Calabrese has been performing comedy since 1995, specializing in corporate events and as a master of ceremonies and auctioneer for charity benefits. At 63, he has been married for 43 years, in a row, and has two grown sons and three grandchildren. He talks about life, world events, marriage, kids, grandkids, the corporate world, and the trials and tribulations of not staying in top physical condition. Tony spent 36 years as a banker in San Diego and is the former President and CEO of not one but two banks. That’s right Bank President turned Comedian. He performs regularly at The Comedy Store, The Comedy Palace, The Madhouse Comedy Club and other San Diego and L.A. clubs and venues. Tony also teaches standup comedy at the Point Loma Actors Studio and the National Comedy Theater. In March of 2013 Tony won the “Ultimate Laff-Down” at Flappers Comedy Club, chosen from a field of 160 comedians and in 2014 was a finalist in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas.
Justin Foster is a native Texas comedian now living in Los Angeles. Justin quickly charms the audience with his weird, slightly off, yet likable personality that allows him to delve into personal stories of sobriety, his fear of flying, and drug dealer Dad. Strange, hilarious, and often unpredictable, Justin travels the country performing at theaters in Seattle, bar basements in North Dakota, and every place in between. Justin has been featured on the Joe Rogan Podcast, SIRIUS/XM, the Burbank Comedy Festival, the Cape Fear Comedy Festival in North Carolina, San Diego Comedy Festival, “Fresh Faces” at the Laugh Factory, and has been voted one of the Top Funniest Comics in Texas by the Improv multiple times. His debut comedy album, ‘DANGERLESS’, released worldwide 3/2/18 and debuted at Number one on iTunes.
