Some weekends do not feel like two separate shows. They feel like one long reminder of why live comedy still matters. That was this past Friday and Saturday night at Comedy Heights at Lestat’s on Adams Ave, with headliner Bob Hansen bringing both rooms together in that completely-in-control way only a veteran comic can. Friday had that opening-night electricity, people settling in, not totally sure what kind of night they were about to have. Then the first big laugh hit, and the room changed. By the time Bob took the stage, the audience was already warmed up and ready, and he knew exactly what to do with them. Saturday had its own flavor. A little looser, a little louder, that weekend crowd feeling where everybody had already survived the week and was ready to be irresponsible with their laugh volume. Bob leaned into it beautifully, finding those little shared truths that make a room full of strangers suddenly feel like they all grew up in the same weird family. Across both nights, the lineups brought sharp writing, strong personalities, and that unpredictable live-show rhythm you only get in a real comedy room. Lestat’s continues to be one of those spaces where the laughs feel close, immediate, and contagious. You do not just watch the show there. You become part of the temperature of the room. Big thanks to everyone who came out Friday and Saturday, brought friends, supported live comedy, and helped make another weekend at Comedy Heights feel alive, intimate, and ridiculously fun. Two nights. Two great crowds. One terrific headliner. See you next weekend at Comedy Heights at Lestat’s on Adams Ave.
