Some comics tell jokes. Some comics take over a room. John Hastings does both—and then keeps going. This weekend at Comedy Heights at Lestat’s on Adams Ave., you’re getting a headliner who knows how to build a set, ride the energy, and turn a good crowd into a great one. Smart, fast, and just unpredictable enough to keep you leaning forward. This is the kind of show where the laughs don’t come in waves… they stack. And the rest of the lineup? Built to match that pace. Jessica Alaniz, Matt Coffern, Al Gavi and Chrissy Castriota. No filler, no drop-offs—just comics who know how to keep the night moving and the room locked in. It’s an intimate space, which means you’re not watching comedy… you’re in it. Show starts at 8pm. Doors at 7:30pm.$5 cover that turns into same-day café credit. Come early. Bring someone fun. Or show up solo and leave with new friends. Either way… this is a good decision.
Over the last twenty years John Hastings has appeared at every major comedy festival in the world including Edinburgh (2012-2019), Melbourne and Just for Laughs Montreal. He has told jokes on BBC Radio 4, BBC 1, BBC 3, Comedy Central, CTV Australian Comedy Channel, and CBC The Comedy Network. He is also the COCA Comedian of the Year, a Martin Sims Award Nominee, an Amused Moose Comedy Award winner, and was briefly a viral sensation after Dennis Rodman heckled him in Los Angeles. He was most recently spotted on America’s Got Talent.
