Some headliners walk onstage and immediately change the pace of the night. Peter Sers did that this past weekend at Comedy Heights. Peter brought the energy you expect from a comedian who has spent years working clubs around the country, but what stood out was how comfortable he looked doing it. He wasn’t trying to force the room to keep up with him. He pulled the room along. Kat Moore, Al Gavi and Lena Stone brought their own styles to the stage. Each comedian came at the audience from a different angle, which kept both Friday and Saturday from feeling like four versions of the same show. The room is intimate enough that the audience becomes part of the rhythm. Thanks to Peter Sers, Kat Moore, Al Gavi and Lena Stone for two strong nights, and thanks to everyone who came out and gave them a room worth performing for.
Another great weekend of shows at Comedy Heights at Lestat’s on Adams Ave.
