Comedy Heights is back to two nights this week, and we’re closing out September with Geoff Grooms at Lestat’s.

Geoff came to San Diego from the East Coast and somehow managed to combine stand up, cyber security, the Navy and enough time in the gym to make the rest of us feel lazy. A paid regular at Mic Drop Comedy, he performs throughout the West Coast and draws material from his own experiences, including growing up as a military brat. He has also opened for comedians including Troy Bond, Alingon Mitra, Willie Macc, Zach Noe Towers, Big Irish Jay Hollingsworth, Drew Dunn, Kalea McNeill, Rena Calm, Joe Hill and Ty Barnett. Joining Geoff Friday and Saturday are Marissa Papet, Kristy Guy and Chrissy Castriota.

This weekend has a nice mix to it. Different voices, different life experiences, different ways of getting to the laugh. Nobody has to sound like the person before them. That is usually when a stand up show gets interesting.

And after last weekend’s one night only schedule, we are back to the usual routine.
