September starts with a fresh lineup at Comedy Heights, and this weekend’s headliner has spent plenty of time figuring out exactly what middle age is good for.  Amanda Cohen takes the stage at Lestat’s this Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5. Amanda describes herself as “nobody’s mom,” and her comedy turns middle age, relationships and everyday absurdities into smart, fearless material that connects with audiences of every age. She has performed at the Improv and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, studied improv and sketch writing at Chicago’s Second City Conservatory, and returned to stand up in 2015 before becoming part of the LA comedy scene. Amanda is also a favorite host at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank and regularly tours, building an audience for her intelligent, distinctive style. Along the way, she has worked with performers including Jay Leno, Jackie Kashian, Matt Kirshen and Monique Marvez.

Joining Amanda this weekend are Zara Khan, Zach Nayer and JP Connolly, with Al Gavi on Friday and Dan Yourg on Saturday and of course the Comedy Heights LaughPac. 

Showtime 8PM with the doors opening at 7:30PM.  $5 cover, which converts to same day café credit
