Comedy Heights is back at Lestat’s this Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15, with Los Angeles comic Colton Harpie headlining two nights of stand-up. Harpie has built a résumé that stretches well beyond the microphone. A touring comedian, actor and producer, he began working at The Comedy Store in 2018 and has since performed across the country, written for television and opened for comics including Chris D’Elia, Mark Normand, Josh Adam Meyers, Sarah Tiana and Bill Bellamy. He has also appeared on the hugely popular Kill Tony podcast, with his work featured by HBO, BuzzFeed, Barstool Sports, BroBible and MTV2.

Joining Harpie both nights are Victoria Parra, Shane Chase and Al Gavi, giving the weekend a lineup with different voices, styles and points of view throughout the show. That variety has become part of the fun at Comedy Heights. You might walk in knowing the headliner, then leave talking about somebody you had never seen before. And in a small, intimate room like Lestat’s, there really isn’t anywhere for a comedian—or an audience member—to hide. Everybody is part of the night.

Shows start at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Lestat’s, 3343 Adams Avenue in San Diego. Admission is just $5, and the cover converts to same-day café credit.

So for five bucks, you get a full night of stand-up comedy and something from the café. At that point, the comedy is practically free.
