Comedy Heights returns to Lestat’s this Friday and Saturday, August 7 and 8, with Jim Gallagher and Austin Train leading two packed nights of stand-up on Adams Avenue.

After spending 25 years running marketing for major movie studios, including Disney, Jim Gallagher stepped away from selling Hollywood stories and started telling the truth about them. His comedy draws from life inside the entertainment business, marriage, fatherhood and the everyday frustrations that arrive with hard-earned experience. Since entering the Los Angeles comedy scene in 2018, he has become a regular Friday-night performer at The Comedy Store and has appeared at clubs and festivals across the country.

Southern California comic Austin Train brings plenty of mileage of his own. A regular at the La Jolla Comedy Store, Austin has performed throughout the West Coast and Nevada, opened for Jeff Garlin, Chris D’Elia and Pauly Shore, and appeared in Todd Barry: The Crowd Work Tour.

Christian Scala and Al Gavi round out both nights, with JP Connolly joining Friday’s lineup and Rachel Lloyd hosting both shows. That gives each show its own mix, so attending twice is technically supporting the arts—not repeating yourself. The laughs begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Lestat’s, 3343 Adams Avenue. Admission is just $5, and the cover converts to same-day café credit.
