Comedy Heights is rolling into the holiday weekend with a lineup built for people who want their fireworks indoors, onstage, and delivered through a microphone. This Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Comedy Heights welcomes Claire Doty and Jason Horton to Lestat’s for two nights of sharp, high-energy stand-up.
Claire Doty brings a bright, quick, brutally relatable style to the stage. She’s a rising San Diego comic known for turning dating, breakups, growing up Mormon, corporate life, tequila choices, and the occasional ukulele into comedy that feels personal, fast, and very funny. Her stand-up clips and TikTok PowerPoints have also pulled in millions of views online.
Sharing the bill is Jason Horton, a Los Angeles comedian with roots in San Diego and New York. Jason has been featured on Comedy Central, America’s Funniest Videos, and the History Channel, and has performed all over the country at clubs and shows including Don’t Tell Comedy, The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and Helium, with international stops in Berlin and Prague.
Also joining the weekend lineup are Laurence Francis, Elisa Lurkis on Friday, Tyler Nissen on Saturday, and Al Gavi, giving both nights that classic Comedy Heights mix of local favorites, fresh voices, and comics you’ll be glad you saw before everyone else starts talking about them.
Shows are Friday and Saturday at 8pm at Lestat’s, 3343 Adams Ave. Doors open at 7:30pm. Cover is only $5, and it converts to same-day café credit, which means you can laugh and still justify ordering something with whipped cream on it.
Come celebrate the holiday weekend the Comedy Heights way: no traffic, no parking-lot fireworks, no uncle explaining politics — just a great room, great comics, and two nights of live stand-up in Normal Heights.
