Mike Vinn is a San Diego-based stand-up comedian, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and a key figure at The Comedy Store in La Jolla. Born and raised on Chicago’s south side, Vinn developed an early love for comedy, inspired by watching Howie Mandel’s Watusi Tour as a kid. Post-military, Vinn pursued his childhood dream of stand-up, starting at The Comedy Store’s open mic nights in 2005. Within a year, he landed a full-time gig at the club, a rare feat. His comedy often draws on his life as a stepdad and his Marine experiences, resonating with audiences through relatable humor. Vinn has performed in clubs and theaters across the U.S., is the house judge for Roast Battle SD, has 2 specials on VetTV and has appeared in projects like Youthful Journeys of the World (2011) Steve Treviño: ’Til Death (2019) and Amazon Prime’s Justice on Trial (2026).
