8 years ago today Producers Al Gavi and Maria Herman brought a bundle of joy into the world … their show Comedy Heights. And if you count Comedy Shows in San Diego in dog years, then Comedy Heights is really funny. We’ve been blessed with hosting up and coming comedians like Drew Lynch, and Taylor Tomlinson who’ve gone on to become finalists in America’s Got Talent and Last Comic Standing respectively. And we’ve also grown an audience base whose been instrumental in supporting a show that was built on a simple premise of providing consistently good entertainment for everyone. This Friday’s show at Bay Bridge Brewing is no exception. Headliner Billy Anderson moved to LA from his home state of Georgia in 2012 to become a comedian and went on to perform in all 50 states in only 48 days on just his first tour. His act can be heard on Audible and SiriusXM, and in 2017 he made his television premiere on Fox’s “Laughs”. Billy released his debut comedy special “America’s Sweetheart” in 2018 through Amazon Prime, with clips from the special receiving over four million views on social media. Saturday’s show at Comedy Heights at Twiggs has the hilarious Dallas McLaughlin who’s won San Diego’s Funniest Contest.
