April started her performance career doing stand up comedy, cracking up audiences in just about every venue San Diego has to offer.  April expanded her expertise by writing and performing as a story teller, and as a performance poet.  She has worked as an acting coach for at risk youth, directed in the North Park Festival of Ten Minute Plays, taught poetry and performance art for various high schools and after school programs.  You can catch her stand up performance for free at Comedy Heights.
